O estudo apresenta evid\u00eancias in\u00e9ditas sobre o papel desses ecossistemas como infraestruturas naturais fundamentais para enfrentar os impactos das mudan\u00e7as clim\u00e1ticas na regi\u00e3o.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O lan\u00e7amento integrou a agenda oficial do evento e foi apresentado ao p\u00fablico e a autoridades no painel&nbsp;<strong>\u201cDesafios da escassez h\u00eddrica mitigar e nos adaptarmos aos efeitos da mudan\u00e7a clim\u00e1tica, que j\u00e1 impactam a regi\u00e3o por meio de eventos meteorol\u00f3gicos extremos cada vez mais severos e frequentes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gra\u00e7as \u00e0 sua capacidade de capturar e armazenar carbono, esses ecossistemas ajudam a reduzir a concentra\u00e7\u00e3o de gases de efeito estufa na atmosfera, contribuindo diretamente para a mitiga\u00e7\u00e3o das mudan\u00e7as clim\u00e1ticas.
